Creating the content for Akava's online briefing
The trade union confederation Akava, along with its member unions, had worked for years to reform non-competition legislation in favor of employees. They hoped that information about the details of this change would reach as many people as possible. Therefore, Akava and its member unions decided to experiment with a website designed in an informational and brief format for communication.
The goal was not only to spread the good news about this important legal change but also to gather information about practices related to non-competition agreements.

Jamini Kavoori created the illustrations
for the briefing.
Ixir was involved in the creation of the briefing from the beginning of its conceptualization. Ideas for the main content of the briefing were outlined in a workshop facilitated by Ixir, attended by experts on non-compete legislation from Akava and its member organizations.
Based on the workshop, Ixir's expert drafted an outline of the content of the information session, as well as a plan for its implementation, and an illustrator began creating drafts. The drafts and plans were submitted for feedback, and in collaboration with Akava's experts, the details of the content were refined.
Following this, Ixir provided proofread text materials, video scripts, and finalized illustrations to Akava. Akava, in collaboration with other partners, implemented this content into a website according to the prepared implementation plan.
The Finnish Parliament approved the legislative amendment on November 10, 2021, and the briefing was used to convey this important message.
