Privacy Policy for the Customer Register of Ixir-verkkokurssit Oy

 

This is the register and privacy policy in accordance with the Personal Data Act (Sections 10 and 24) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for Ixir-verkkokurssit Oy. This policy was prepared on January 17, 2021, with the latest modification made on November, 2023.

4. Legal Basis and Purpose of Processing Personal Data:

The purpose of processing personal data is to manage and analyze customer relationships, provide and personalize services, develop and plan business activities, as well as marketing, sales, opinion and market research, and customer communication.

Personal data may be processed in accordance with applicable legislation. The general conditions for processing personal data are as follows: Section 8, paragraph 1, points 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 of the Personal Data Act.

 

5. Contents of the Register:

The information that may be stored in the register includes:

  • First and last name

  • Position

  • Company/organization

  • Contact information (postal address, phone number, email address)

  • Website addresses

  • User profiles on social media

  • Start and end dates and methods of the customer relationship or relevant connection

  • Direct marketing permissions and prohibitions

  • Information about the use of electronic services and content (e.g., subscribing to newsletters)

  • Information related to marketing and sales promotion, such as targeted marketing actions and participation

  • Information related to the management of customer relationships and other relevant connections (e.g., purchase and cancellation information for paid products and services, order information for free products and services, delivery information, feedback, complaints, and records of customer service events such as phone calls, emails, chat, and text messages)

  • Declared areas of interest

  • Gender

  • Language

  • Change information for the above-mentioned data

  • Information inferred from the use of the service or other data provided by the customer, for example, potential areas of interest or membership in a certain user group.

 

6. Regular Data Sources:

The data stored in the register is obtained from the customer through various channels, including internet forms, messages sent by email, telephone, social media services (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, Instagram), contracts, customer meetings, and other situations where the customer provides their information. This includes various marketing activities such as newsletter marketing, competitions, and events such as trade fairs. Personal data may also be collected and updated from other registers of Ixir, selected partner registers, and authorities and companies providing services related to personal data.

 

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies:

A cookie is a small text file that a browser stores on the user's device. Cookies contain a unique identifier that allows users to be identified. Cookies and the information collected through them are also used to analyze website usage and usability, enhance security, monitor usage, and develop the service. Cookies and the information obtained from them can also be used for targeted communication, advertising, and content creation on the website, site development, and measurement and optimization of marketing activities.

 

8. Regular Disclosures of Data and Transfer of Data Outside the EU or EEA:

Data is not regularly disclosed to other parties. Data may be published to the extent agreed upon with the customer separately.

 

9. Data Protection:

Registry data is not stored in any form other than electronically. Access to the register is protected by usernames and passwords. The data controller ensures that stored data and critical information for the security of personal data, such as server access rights, are treated confidentially and only by employees whose job description includes it.

 

10. Right to Inspection, Prohibition, and Correction:

Every individual in the register has the right to check the information stored about them in the register and request the correction of any incorrect information or the completion of incomplete information. If a person wants to check the information stored about them or request corrections, the request should be made in writing to the data controller. If necessary, the data controller may request the requester to prove their identity. The data controller will respond to the customer in accordance with the time limit set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (usually within one month).

 

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy:

Ixir continuously develops its business and reserves the right to change this privacy policy by notifying its customers. Changes may also be based on changes in legislation.
